What we do and how we do it
White Wall Web translates business objectives in technology solutions.
Utilising the power of web-based applications to achieve this, we have proven success in bespoke web development, and supporting and providing continuous integration for large web database applications that run businesses in various industries in various countries around the world.
Since inception, White Wall Web has taken its direction from co-founder Peter Flynn’s view that ultimately all software will be web-based. This view remains at the core of our vision for the future.
Off the back of our development expertise we also provide our own range of software frameworks and SaaS (Software as a Service) products.
What we do for our clients can be characterized by 3 core facets:
Insight
Providing insight through consulting and business analysis is critical to the success of any project. Our consulting and analysis services help with: guiding executive IT decision making, rescuing misguided projects, laying the foundation for successful implementation and deployment and establishing the blueprints for return on investment.
Process
Our extensive project management experience combined with development mastery; provide the perfect platform on which to execute the production process. Our production hub in Cape Town, South Africa serves as a valuable resource for our clients abroad who wish to leverage off the advantages of international outsourcing.
Value
In every project, business value is measured step by step from start to finish, ensuring minimum risk and maximum business value for all stakeholders. Business value is the ultimate benchmarking indicator to measure the success of our work.
Methodologies
In our approach to tackling projects, we integrate Agile and Scrum methodologies as part of our practices.
Since 2008, White Wall Web has been actively steering clients towards project implementations using the Scrum methodology – a proven member of the Agile school of thought. This approach requires active and frequent involvement by clients, but allows shorter and more tightly managed delivery cycles, and leads to improved visibility to all stakeholders. We have witnessed the unquestionable success that this approach yields, and would assert its suitability to achieving lower-cost, higher-business-value results.
However, Scrum is not a silver bullet, and many companies attempting to implement this methodology will likely encounter the same difficulties, subtleties and questions we experienced while understanding and practicing the technique. Further to this, there is a broader model in which Scrum belongs, which assists with managing non-functional requirements and the less obvious requirements of the software lifecycle.
White Wall Web is ideally positioned to assist with Scrum adoption at other companies, and has significant reach to experts within our organization and affiliation. Interestingly, Scrum lends itself to far wider opportunities than software development, finding relevance in many project/client oriented businesses as a means to improve, optimise and enhance existing processes. The goal? Greater return on investment, improved efficiency and enhanced stakeholder relationships.
